Residential Preventive Maintenance and Service

We offer 24 hour emergency service to our preferred contract customers.

Why have a Preventative Maintenance Program?
Many Massachusetts residents do not realize their home heating system operates approximately 2,200 hours per year. To put this “run-time” in perspective, a car driven for 2,200 hours at 55mph would travel 121,000 miles. No one would consider such a journey without arranging for oil changes, lubrication, and routine tune-ups along the way to assure the efficiency, safety, and reliability of the vehicle.

Preventative maintenance will not only increase the usable life of your equipment, but it will also improve the seasonal efficiency. This will result in shorter run time and less energy consumption. Preventative maintenance will also improve indoor quality and comfort.

What are the Benefits of a Preventative Maintenance Program?
- Peace of Mind Knowing Your System is Operating Properly
- Conserving Energy
- Extending Equipment Life
- Improving System Reliability
- Minimizing Emergencies
- Reducing Service Problems
- Controlling Maintenance Budgets
- Priority Service
- 10% discount on all parts and labor

What do Preventative Maintenance Inspections Include?
- Check performance of all major components
- Lubricate moving parts
- Check refrigerant charge
- Check for oil and refrigerant leaks
- Check operating and safety controls
- Check pressures and temperatures
- Inspect condensers, fans, motors and starters
- Tighten electrical connections at equipment
- Test amperages and voltages
- Check belts and drives
- Replace belts as necessary
- Change filters
- Thoroughly inspect and clean heat exchanger
- Clean condenser coil and evaporator coil

We have done a lot of work at our house with various contractors and it has not always been a good experience. Eric and Rich were efficient, friendly and very clean and neat with the pick up. Our basement was cleaner after they left! It was also great working with Mike Broydrick—he was responsive and informative. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending your firm to anyone! Thanks for your great service!

Sincerely,
E. & O. Shepherd
